2D FX Tests
A couple 2D FX animations I put together for 2 separate animation tests.
The requirement was to provide hand drawn, stylized 2D FX of fire and water. These were actually for two different projects so they have been designed specifically with the art direction of each production in mind.
Lunar New Year Celebration Post
I was born in year of the dog (1994) but I was told the zodiac signs that were most compatible with me were the rabbit and the tiger.
I wanted to do something punchy and clean to commemorate that bond. The Dog or wolf I made to look fierce and agile but the steam really was meant to signify ‘readyness’. As if it’s ‘hot off the grill. I really wanted to motion to feel extremely stylized but fluid overall. I had a lot of fun with this concept :)
Tree Spirit - Film excerpt
A small clip from a short film I’ve been working on for the last few months.
The film is about a Tree Spirit who wanders the Earth looking for a new home. This is from a scene where it finally finds a new magical forest that is bustling with life.

SLEEPING KEEPER - 5 SECOND SHORT FILM
5 Second short film I put together to sumbit to SCHA Filmfest in Moscow Russia. I had already created the concept before I knew about the festival and create a feeling of ease and magic.
I was also inspired by a photo of a Tibetan monkey skull (bejeweled statue made to look like a monkey) and I wanted to somehow incorporate that in a more soothing setting.

“BRB” Twitch Overlay
An illustration I had originally started for myself but then ended creating it as an overlay for Twitch streamers.
The idea was to create a moody atmosphere that matched the vibe of a lot of Art streamers.
